About Miria

Growing up in an immigrant household, Miria quickly learned how to navigate two cultures, while falling in love with folklore and the beauty of languages. She spends her free time painting, reading, image-making and creating narratives. While she is an artist of self-portraiture, documentary, and mixed media, she finds that being able to help capture a memory you can hold and cherish for more than a lifetime is truly gratifying. Miria has a deep and unwavering interest in people's lives, nature, and the beautiful subtleties that photography has the means to express.

 

When photographing, Miria likes to keep things light hearted and fun, all the while capturing a sentimentality and romanticism in her photographs. She finds that photographs not only capture the lightness of a fleeting moment, but also the unwavering emotions between a couple. Her love for all things film & medium format help her achieve the nostalgic and romantic  ambiance she aims to convey.
